Spending most or all of our working hours online us bloggers can sometimes forget that there is a world out there.  At least I can count myself as one of those people.  One of the blogs I subscribe to and read from time to time, Blog-Re, written by Mark Geoghegan was touched by the madness going on in this world.

The two car bombs that were found in London last week were actually parked right in front of his office and just around the corner.  According to his blog post about the bombing:

“It turned out last week’s car bomb was parked right slap bang outside our offices — and there was a second device parked round the corner, but it got towed away by central London’s over efficient parking attendants before it could go off.

So it was a case of the messianic zeal of terrorists partially thwarted by the equally extreme and deranged obsessions of the Westminster parking squad — at 2am on a Thursday night.”

At times the blogging world seems like its own little universe when it’s just a bunch of computers, phone lines and software.
