I guess there doing something right over at Insurance.com. According to a press release on dBusinessNews.com the accounting firm Ernst & Young awarded CEO Dave Roush the “2007 Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur Of The Year award, in the Emerging Business category.”
The judges who decide the winners of these awards are supposed to be an independent panel basing the awards on “each company’s recent financial performance, strategic direction, product or service innovation, as well as an assessment of the company’s leadership – including personal integrity, values and key employee initiatives, and community involvement.”![]()
How do they go about assessing a company’s values? I suppose if they haven’t had any lawsuits filed against them or any public scandals. Regardless Insurance.com continues to pile on the awards and garner quite a positive reputation.

Interesting standard for an award to a company selling insurance. While avoiding lawsuits and public scandals is always a good idea for any business I would hope the criteria might be a bit more stringent. In any event, nice work.
