Molly Shannon To Be Spokeswoman For Life Insurance Awareness Month
I had no idea of the painful past of actress and comedian Molly Shannon.  When Shannon was just 4 years old she was in a car accident that killed her 33 year-old Mother, her cousin and her younger sister.  Luckily her Father survived but with severe injuries that left him “unable to work for several years” according to National Underwriter.

Shannon has decided to use this tragedy to help educate others about the importance of owning life insurance.  She will be the national spokeswoman for the Life Insurance Foundation for Education Life Insurance Awareness Month this coming September.  Her mother didn’t own life insurance when she died.  Shannon said about her experience:Molly_Shannon_spokeswoman.jpg

“My personal experience led me to start thinking about life insurance when I first became pregnant.”

Her story is a powerful one and I’m sure it will get at least a few people thinking more seriously about purchasing a life insurance policy.

I think Molly Shannon is a great actress. I didn't know of her tragic story...could not be a more appropriate spokesperson for the importance of life insurance. Hopefully she will lead many to a raised awareness.
