All Mississippi residents should keep a close eye on John Arthur Eaves as he attempts to make his way towards the Governor’s office. According to an article on Wlox.com “Gubernatorial candidate John Arthur Eaves says his campaign will refuse any contribution from the insurance industry.” How is he going to make this promise a reality you ask? Well by signing a pledge card of course. “To back up that promise, the democrat running for governor signed a pledge card he set up in front of Biloxi's Katrina memorial Thursday. Eaves also challenged Governor Barbour to return any insurance industry contributions he's received.” I guess all Mississippi voters should just take him at his word unless he’s going to announce all the donations he’s receiving. If he is in fact not going to take donations from the insurance industry then more power to him. However, there wouldn’t be a problem with candidates receiving money from certain industries if they didn’t then make decision based upon who donated to their candidacy. But I guess that’s a crazy thought.
