Universal Health Coverage Rings Through In Stories From Pennsylvania Residents
I found this interesting article on Phillyburbs.com that follows and documents several Pennsylvania families through their 2006 dealings with health insurance.  The families vary in size and age and some have insurance and some struggled to get covered.  However, despite their different situations they all seem to agree on one thing; the health insurance system needs to change.

The article mentioned that it was “the final installment in a yearlong look at the health-care costs of selected Burlington County residents.”

Virginia Langran - “I've gone month after month in pain because I couldn't affordstethoscope_universal_health_care.jpg (health) treatment,” she said. “There's a lot of people in the same boat. It's a sin that there's no type of universal health coverage in this country.”

Mary & Larry Davis – “Their feelings on health care in the United States haven't changed. They both argue that the country needs some kind of universal health care.”

The Lapp Family – “That not everyone is insured is criminal,” she said. “Everyone should have insurance and be able to go to the doctor and take care of their child without having to worry about health care costs.”

Doris Sasso - “I do know that we need to have some kind of a health system that is going to work for everybody,” she said. “I'm not sure how you do that. It's almost like you need a universal health system, where everybody has coverage no matter what.”  Sasso said other countries offer universal health care, and she believes such a model could work in the United States.  “My personal opinion is we need something like that because we have too many people who are not covered and people who do not have enough coverage,” she said.”

Are we seeing a trend here?
