As many fans are more than aware of Spiderman 3 is set to release in the U.S. on May 4th. There is much anticipation and hype surrounding the opening weekend that has not gone unnoticed by numerous brands in the U.S. and other countries.
According to Media Curry companies such as Baskin Robbins, Yamaha, Hutch and even HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company are using the mighty power of the webbed superhero. The CEO of P9 Integrated, a movie marketing company, was quoted as saying, “To have a superhero like Spider-Man to be associated with a financial sector organisation like HDFC will be clutter breaking.” Not quite sure what “clutter breaking” means but apparently Spiderman is going to clean house.![]()
In addition Business Of Cinema explained what else HDFC would be doing, “HDFC Standard Life Insurance's 'Sar Utha Ke Jiyo' brand message will be communicated through clippings of Spider-Man. In a contest-led co-branded campaign, the winners will be given tickets to the film.” Can anyone please help me translate the HDFC brand message?
Where there are creative minds there is someone who’ll tie-in Spider Man 3 with a life insurance company. It seems anything is possible in the promotion game. Hey, wait a minute I’m writing about Spidey 3 on an insurance blog! Actually movies have a whole lot to do with insurance because of all the risk involved with doing stunts and protecting highly paid actors etc. I’m going to post about that in the next few days as well.
