Carter commented on the situation by saying “the insurance crisis along the Gulf Coast is wiping out much of the benefit that humanitarian organizations are trying to provide to victims of the devastating 2005 hurricane season. The federal government has to take the lead in making homeowners insurance more
affordable along the Gulf Coast.”Many people living along the Gulf Coast and up through Florida are feeling the sting of insurance premium hikes. What can the government do to improve this situation? I honestly don’t see much they can do with the insane “war” we’re entrenched in over in Iraq. So much money and resources are tied up in Iraq that everything else really takes a back seat.
