New Jersey Auto Insurance Report: Complaints Go Down After 2003 Reforms
New Jersey auto insurance complaints have seen a dramatic decrease according to the 2006 Auto Insurance Consumer Information Report.  In a National Underwriter article it was reported that, “initial consumer complaints have dropped from more than 6,000 in 2003 to around 3,035 in 2006.”

This significant drop is due in large part to the “legislative reforms for auto insurance” that have “removed two serious problems consumers experienced in the past:  availability and affordability” according to Jim Gardner, a spokesmaninsurance_complaints_cartoon.jpg for the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance.

I'm curious to hear from New Jersey drivers and whether they’ve seen any improvement over the past four years in customer service?  According to the report AIG Centennial Group had the least favorable ratio of 1:441 while New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group “had no valid complaints.”

I assume people in New Jersey seem to be more pleased with their auto insurance, but I can't say the same for us in Florida, as our premiums have increased this year thanks to the State of Florida.

That's too bad to hear. Fortunately for us Californians we've seen rates drop a bit over the past year or so. Let's hope Florida rates follow suit. Thanks for commenting.
