Funny YouTube Video: CollegeRecruiter.com “Sells” Insurance Agent Jobs

While this video isn’t meant to be humorous I managed to find some amusing moments.  CollegeRecruiter.com is a professionally designed site that offers “Internships for college students and entry-level jobs for recent grads.”  The video is used as a tool to promote College Recruiter and the job of an insurance agent.

However, as you’ll soon see the clips they use for supposed insurance agents conducting business appear to be circa 1988.  I guess current footage of insurance agents is hard to come by these days.

If anyoneover at College Recruiter is interested in my opinion I’d advise them to shoot some up to date video of business people.  Were you at all interested in pursuing a career as an insurance agent after watching this video?

If you're able to provide to us a video of comparable or better quality, we'd be happy to run it on our site, YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, etc. at no charge and give you full credit for producing the video such as by including a splash screen at the beginning and end giving you that credit.

Steven,

Thanks for the chance to provide a more up to date video but I'm afraid I have none. Why don't you film some of your best dressed employees conducting business at the computer, with others and in meetings? I doubt many people are going to know that the people in the video aren't insurance agents.

Re-watching the video I couldn't discern that the workers were doing insurance related work only that the clips were from fifteen or twenty years ago.

Another option is to ask a local insurance company if you could film in their offices for an hour or so. Maybe you could show some glimpses of their company name or come up with some other arrangement.

I typed in "stock insurance footage" and "stock business footage" into Google and they both returned over 1 million results. I hope my suggestions help you out in some way. Let me know if you find some alternative footage. Best of luck.
