YouTube Videos: What Does Insurance Have To Do With YouTube?

Searching through some of the insurance blogs I subscribe to I found a post on the blog Health Care Policy, Innovation and Renewal talking about videos on YouTube related to hospitals.  I also stumbled upon the company InsureMe that has published quite a few YouTube videos about insurance news and information for agents.

I punched “Life Insurance” into YouTube search and was greeted with 380 video results.  There is one brutal Thai ad that I can’t imagine seeing in the U.S. among some other life insurance ads.  In addition I found some informational videos about life insurance including this video about the general reasons for owning life insurance.youtube_vidoes_logo.jpg

Health Insurance results had 391 videos with a fair amount of videos talking about how the health care system in the U.S. is less than adequate.  There are also a few videos on Universal Health Care including a video about Single-Payer National Health Insurance

I have barely skimmed the surface of YouTube insurance videos.  I might start a YouTube watch for interesting, amusing, compelling or otherwise entertaining insurance related videos.  YouTube is actually a great forum for getting insurance information out to the public except that most YouTube visitors aren’t exactly chomping at the bit for insurance information.
