Pacific Life Insurance Company Donates Big To Nonprofits
It warms my heart when I come across news about insurance giants doling out large sums of money to deserving organizations.  So much negative press, many times rightfully so, is written about greedy insurers or how they make such a killing etc.  More exposure should be given to insurers when they actually donate money or anything else to at least show they are not just an amorphous entity of ill repute.

Pacific Life Insurance Company, based in Newport Beach Ca. has recently donated a total of $3.5 million to around 200 nonprofit organizations.  The organization receiving the largest single donation of the lot is Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County.  An organization with a mission “to improve the oral health of children in Orange County through collaborations directed at prevention, education, treatment and advocacy.”  pacific_ocean_insurance.JPG

I am curious to know if any of the readers of this blog have ever been personally involved with an organization that received a large sum of money from an insurer?  I hear so much about donations but not the real impact or difference those donations make for the individual organizations and everyone involved.
