- 89% are satisfied with the quality of care they receive
- 83% are satisfied with the ability to get emergency care
- 79% are satisfied with the ability to see top quality specialists
- 78% are satisfied with the ability to get the latest treatments
- And 57% are satisfied with the cost of health care.
The gist of the post is that according to this poll most people are happy with their health care so “where is the ‘mandate’ for change.” I personally am very happy with my health care, Kaiser, and recently had a procedure done that overall I was satisfied with.
However, this whole entire conversation is not important or relevant to the current health care system in the United States. Relevance lies in talking about the millions of people currently without health insurance or relying on government programs, free clinics etc. What is to be done about those people, not the part of the population that already has health insurance?
My satisfaction and others satisfaction with our current health care provider is of little interest to me and should not be the topic of conversation when discussing heath care. Don’t get me wrong bloggers can write whatever they want but lets not get confused about the reality of our sorely lacking health care system.
Here is an article from several years ago about the uninsured that is a reminder of the realitymany people face.

That's the problem. Health insurance should remain a privatized field. Universal healthcare is cumbersome and inefficient. If you are looking for a site with good a good interface and the lowest rates, visit www.quotebroker.com. I found them by chance and they worked great for me.
