Insurance Organizations Lend Helping Hand For Nonprofits & In New Orleans
Two separate insurance industry organizations, the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation (MDRT) and the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA), are helping out Katrina survivors and charities.

The MDRT sent “a team of 45 volunteers to help rebuild 6 homes in the New Orleans East Neighborhood by installing subflooring, putting up siding, building roofs and painting.”  The MDRT Foundation raised “a total of $575,000 for Katrina relief efforts from its members.”

The Dream Factory of Georgia, Atlanta, a group that makes the wishes of critically ill children come true; Miriam’s House, Lynchburg, Va., a program that provides housing for homeless women with AIDS; and Special Spaces Inc., Knoxville, Tenn., a group that decorates the bedrooms of critically ill children.
