Aflac Inc. Duck Quacks For Charity
I’m sure you have heard and seen your share of commercials and advertisements by the famous duck of Aflac Inc. (AFL).  If that wasn’t enough they are now selling the stuffed Alfac Duck toys at Macy’s stores in Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, San Diego and Virginia.

Fortunately the $10 and $15 duck sale proceeds are all going to charity.  The ducks are apparently dressed as Santa Claus and when squeezed says, “Aflac, Aflac, Aflac!”  Talk about a great branding tool for the company and its future consumers.  Thousands of kids

The money from the sales will go to benefit 32 children’s hospitals around the United States.  In addition Aflac and Macy’s also are adding an Aflac gift card to the program with a portion of card sales going to the children’s hospitals.

As an Aflac agent, I give away quite a few ducks. I am always surprised at how many people ask for a duck for thier pets.

Don,

Welcome to my blog and thanks for the comment. Furry stuffed animals can be a tasty treat for a dog, especially one with a voracious appetite. I should know with my recent addition to the family of an Akita puppy. She has already torn into several different stuffed animals we bought for her.

Thanks again and hope to see you around.

As an alum from the University of Oregon, I LOVE that insurance duck! (Oregon's mascot is the Fighting Ducks, so that makes some sense, what?). Anyway, I don't mind AFLAC selling things with such a clever character, and the commercials themselves are often clever.
