The researcher, Cori Uccello, a senior helath fellow at the AAA, came up with the figure in response to a report by the U.S. surgeon general. The surgeon general backed the “belief that secondhand smoke causes lung cancer and heart disease.”
Uccello came up with the $6 billion amount “by adding up the cost of medical care for nonsmokers who suffer from coronary heart disease or lung cancer and have spent long periods of time around secondhand smoke.” He also “included economic losses due to lost wages and benefits from the disability or premature death of nonsmokers.”
Call to all smokers: If you are going to smoke keep your smoke to yourself and stay away from any other nonsmoking human beings! Thanks smokers for not taking us all down with you.

I don't believe it. You are using statistics to back up an argument when other conclusions may be just as valid. Your personal views color you conclusions.
