Like many I remember what I was doing when a plane slammed into the first World Trade Center, then a second and less than an hour later when they crumbled to the earth. I recently was in New York for the first time in my life and visited the World Trade Center site. A scar in the ground marks the spot where the twin towers once stood.
Walking around the fenced off area I had an eerie feeling and a difficult time wrapping my mind around the magnitude of the event. I could not imagine working within feet of the WTC site or having to walk by it twice a day and being constantly reminded. All of us that don’t live or work in Manhattan can easily forget about 9/11 but to New Yorkers that day is waved in their face every day.

My biggest thought five years after 9/11 and one that is not talked about among the mainstream press is what happened that day? If you have not seen the video “Loose Change” then I highly recommend you follow the link and take the time to watch and ask questions.
We were all affected by 9/11 and continue to feel the reverberations of that day in our minds and bodies and everyone in this country deserves answers. My heart goes out to everyone that lost a loved one and I hope you can find peace amongst all of this violence.
