Move To Utah For Cheaper Health-Care Premiums
The Kaiser Family Foundation has set-up a website with information about the average health-care premium nationally.  It turns out Utah health-care consumers pay less for health insurance than the rest of the nation according to desertnews.com.

The website statehealthfacts.org shows “the average health-care premium nationally for a single person was $3,705, while in Utah it was $3,034 with Alaska paying the most at $4,379 each.”

Utah also ranked as the state with the lowest premiums in single-plus-one premiums.  Nationwide the average was $7,056 but premiums in Utah were about $1,000 less.  However, Utah was not the champion in family premiums with North Dakota, Arkansas and Hawaii having slightly lower costs.

All of the data was based on 2004 numbers, the most recent available.  If these types of numbers interest you then visit the Kaiser Foundation website for a mountain of information carefully categorized and well organized.
