Spitzer won the Democratic primary for governor this week with 81 percent of the vote according to nationalunderwriter.com. He appears headed for governor barring any oddities. His opponent, attorney John Faso, is down in preliminary polls and if the election were held now Spitzer would win according to the polls.
Spitzer will continue to have an impact on the insurance industry if he is elected considering he would be naming the next insurance commissioner. I can only imagine the whirlwind he will be as governor, an already strict state for insurers and investment companies.
Can anyone offer any predictions if Spitzer is elected as to what he might try to accomplish?
