If you live in Arlington Texas or nearby there will be a performance at the University of Texas at Arlington by members of the Texas Association of Health Underwriters and the Fort Worth Association of Health Underwriters according to nationalunderwriters.com.
The performance will consist of health insurance comedy sketches touching on such topics as the uninsured, government-run health care, consumerism and long-term care. In addition “chapter members will present discussions about health insurance issues after the sketch.”
Organizers claim they are “trying to dispel some of the myths, including the common misperception that insurance agents are boring.” Promoting insurance agents as more exciting and not sticks in the mud is a great goal but equally important is promoting them as honest, trustworthy and scrupulous business people.
