An alliance between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity through Thrivent Builds has committed $5 million to long-term Gulf Coast recovery. This insurance company is doing what every company should be willing to do. It speaks well for them as an organization. You hear mostly of the insurance companies trying to screw their clients in the hurricane zone, so this is welcome news. Information like this doesn't balance the equation, per se, but it leads people to not castigate an entire industry for some misdeeds.
