U.S. House Of Reps. Help Effort For Life Insurance Awareness Month

According to nationalunderwriter.com the insurance industry is receiving help from the U.S. House of Representatives for a major consumer awareness effort. The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) said lawmakers introduced House Resolution 912 designating September as Life Insurance Awareness Month. 

The NAIFA needs support from the White House, Congress, governors, state legislatures and state regulators for the 2006 awareness month.  Fourteen trade associations and 90 life insurers will take part in September to explain the need for life insurance and related products.

I don’t think insurers will have nay problem putting information out to the public about life insurance.  Financial education needs as much a boost as it can get.  I for one will be interested to see the level of awareness this September will bring.
