Swiss Re Announces Layoffs Of 2,000 Workers. More Potential Bloggers!
The march of layoffs among the steady flow of mergers and acquisitions continues unabated.  The most recent layoffs in the insurance biz come from the now largest reinsurance company Swiss Re.  A decent amount of lives turned upside down, 2,000 job cuts as reported on nationalunderwriter.com.

According to Swiss Re the moves purpose was to “capture efficiency gains”.  Translated into English, we want to save money so we can continue our expansion, put more money in our executive’s pockets, and keep our shareholders happy.  The people lower on the totem pole will get “appropriate separation packages, including professional career support.”

I do not know what “appropriate” entails or the depth and breadth of “professional career support.”  My humble guess is many of the 2,000 affected employees will become disillusioned with the corporate world and start working from home selling their wares on Ebay, Amazon, start a website or become a powerful blogger!

More battle hardened corporate layoff victims are looking to work from home and not have to worry about receiving bad news from up top.  We welcome you to our small but ever expanding world.
