Ohio Schools Purchase Policies Covering Terrorist Attacks And School Shootings
Who knew schools in this country would have to be worried about terrorist attacks and school shootings.  I’m sure someone did but regardless schools in Ohio are taking out insurance policies not only for workers comp and liability but also to cover terrorist attacks and school shootings according to insurancejournal.com.

Children walking into their schools armed with a gun and shooting people has unfortunately become a not too uncommon occurrence.  Some school districts have taken notice.

The Ohio School Plan “insures about 380 members statewide…the most common areas include employment practices for issues such as wrongful termination and sexual misconduct.  They also offer insurance for terrorism and violent acts on school property. That money can go toward ambulances, psychologists and life insurance for victims of attacks.”

Many Ohio school districts are hesitant to spend much needed money on terrorist insurance when the schools are under funded and must use every dime to their advantage.

Do you think U.S. schools should purchase insurance for terrorist or violent acts?
