New Hampshire Police Write 6,000 Tickets Over 4th Of July Weekend
I was amazed at the amount of tickets written in only New Hampshire over the 4th of July holiday weekend.  New Hampshire state troopers stopped 7,000 vehicles and wrote an astonishing 6,000 tickets according to insurancejournal.com.  Some simple math will show that over 85 percent of vehicles stopped were ticketed.

I’m sure this will do wonders for insurance rates in the area.  Not to mention filling up the coffers of the DMV.

Out of all those tickets 38 drunken driving arrests were made.  A much less impressive though nonetheless sad half a percent of drivers ticketed.  When I looked at the breakdown of tickets I was still floored by the sheer number:

Total vehicles stopped – 6,990

Speeding, inspection or seatbelt tickets – 2,200
Warning tickets – 3,800

If state troopers were to stop cars on a monthly basis in New Hampshire would the 85 percent still hold strong?  Regardless of the answer the numbers indicate the majority of drivers in New Hampshire are in some sort of violation or speeding.

I would love to know the outcome in California.  The percentage could possibly reach an all time high.
