MIB Group Inc. Receives -5.4% Less Life Insurance Applications In June Year-Over-Year
The Medical Information Bureau (MIB) Group Inc. released information in a press release about a dip in life insurance application activity for June compared to June of last year.  In the last four consecutives years of June declines this past month was the largest change.

Age group had no bearing on changing these statistics. The declines were –5.7%, -5.9% and –5.5% for all three age groups 0-44, 45-59 and age 60+.  Canada also saw life insurance application activity off by –3.4% across all age groups.

If you are not familiar with the MIB Group they are “the premier provider of Internet-based information and knowledge services to the risk management market space in North America and is a leading facilitator of electronic insurance commerce. MIB customers underwrite over 95 percent of the premium dollars for individual life insurance issued in the United States and Canada.”

Are life insurance agents not as active these days?  I wonder why this has become a trend?  If anyone has any ideas pleas let us know.
