Insurer Issues Disaster Planning Guide To Policyholders
A subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Group, America First Insurance, will be distributing a Disaster Planning Guide booklet to it’s 8,5000 homeowner insurance customers in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas according to a press release on their website.

You can download the six-page guide from their website if you are not a policyholder of theirs.  The guide gives details about how to prepare for and deal with Tornadoes, Hurricanes and Wild Fires.  It also outlines how to prepare as a family, gather essential supplies and what to put in a first aid kit.

The last page touches on the importance of understanding your insurance policy including if your information is current, do I have flood insurance, do I have replacement cost value coverage and other essentials.  It also lists the vital documents you need to keep in a safe or safe deposit box and the importance of keeping a record or inventory of your belongings.

I encourage everyone to download this guide to help be better prepared for a potential disaster.
