The Connecticut partnership “will create ‘IFS University’ developing a curriculum and training model for the Insurance and Financial Services Industry over the next three years.” This partnership will include “Capital Community College, the DECD, and the Insurance and Financial Services Cluster.”
I was not aware of this fact but according to Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell, “our state has the highest concentration of financial analysts, actuaries and underwriters in the nation.” Connecticut employs over 140,000 people in insurance and financial services related jobs, representing 8% of Connecticut’s labor market.
