 Your auto insurance policy should cover your rental car as long as the “car is driven within the United States, the driver is authorized by the rental car company to drive the car, and it is driven under temporary circumstances.” Also your credit card should “provide rental car protection if the entire transaction is completed with a credit card and the CDW is declined.” Follow the link to the PEMCO poll for more information about when to buy the CDW. |

I believe I responded to you via email about your question. It's important to check with your auto insurance company/agent to see if your policy covers rental cars. Not all rental cars are covered such as SUVs and sports cars. Before you spend more money on insurance with the rental car company give your agent a ring. Thanks.

So if I have full coverage auto insurance on my automobile, the insurance company will cover me fully if I rent a vehicle, without purchasing any additional insurance? Can I please get a response to this via email? Thank you very much.
