MetLife and Hartford Help Community Organizations
Two insurance giants are helping a pair of community organizations expand their organizations to help more people according to nationalunderwriter.comMetLife has awarded Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) with a $1million grant “to expand the charitable organization’s program connecting concerned baby boomers with young people in need of mentors.” 

According to BBBS the “$1 million grant is the second phase of a $2.1 million, multiyear partnership to match new volunteers to thousands of young people.

A community outreach program STAG (Successful Training-Achieving Goals) celebrated its 40th anniversary hosted by Hartford Financial Services Group.  STAG began in 1966 and “combines summer and after-school employment, classroom training, and mentoring for high-school juniors and seniors to provide emotional and academic support necessary for successful college and professional careers.”
