Australian Company Selling Bogus Insurance Products In Kentucky
Sinclair Insurance Co. Ltd., an Australian company, has been caught “selling amusement ride and professional liability insurance products in Kentucky without a certificate of authority from the state” as reported on the Kentucky Office of Insurance (KOI) website, doi.ppr.ky.gov.  An alert from another state about Sinclair tipped off an investigator from the KOI.

Sinclair has already issues amusement ride/event liability insurance certificates to at least two different Kentucky businesses.  Other insurance products offered by Sinclair include auto (Australia only), children’s health and life, expatriate health and travel.

Other states including Nebraska and Washington have already filed cease-and-desist orders against Sinclair while Arkansas, Florida, Nevada and Wisconsin are investigating the company.
