Aegon N.V. Purchases 49% Interest In Mexican Life Insurance Company
One of the worlds largest insurance and financial services groups Aegon N.V. has agreed to acquire 49% of a Mexican life insurance company according to a press release on aegon.com.  The insurance company Seguros Argos S.A. de C.V., Mexico City specializes in selling life insurance in the worksite market ranked by market share for individual life insurance, is seventh among life insurance companies in Mexico.

Aegon N.V. is based in the Hague, Netherlands and is a big player in the United States owning several large insurance and financial related companies, Transamerica, Western Reserve Life and World Financial Group.

Aegon already has some operations in Mexico with Aegon Direct Marketing Services, specializing in assisting insurance companies, banks, and other financial institutions to provide direct marketing services and Transamerica Reinsurance.
