ACLI Approves Of Legislation On Policy Sales To Soldiers
The American Council of Life Insurers hailed an important piece of legislation passed today by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee in a news release.  This legislation called, “Military Personnel Financial Services Protection Act” helps protect abuse of policy sales to soldiers.

The President and CEO of ACLI Frank Keating “applauded a bill to curtail abusive life insurance and mutual fund sales practices at military installations.”

This bill “clarifies the regulatory role of state insurance commissioners over insurance sales at military bases and promotes greater awareness of life insurance protection available through the Servicemen's Group Life Insurance program.”

Has anyone heard of abusive insurance sales practices on military bases?

There is a prevalence of younger people combined with a general ignorance about financial products possibly leading to abusive practices.
