U.S. Home To 36 Million People 65 Years And Older
We as a nation are getting old fast, at least the 12% of us who are 65 or older.  I read a brief article about this fact based on a study from the US Census Bureau.  This is not a shock considering the wonders of modern medicine.  However I was surprised that the fastest growing segment of the US population is people 85 and over.  I found that tidbit while perusing the US Census website and stumbled upon a report called 65+ in the United States.

The US Census Bureau website is chalk full of interesting facts and numbers with plenty of studies to pick through.

The more life expectancies increase the bigger demand there will be for insurance products that will compliment and focus on the 65 plus citizenry.  I for one will be interested to see what variances on current policies we will see in the near future.
