Geico is attracting on average customers with higher incomes and education and “more receptivity to technology.” Sounds like Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway, owner of Geico, knew what they were doing when they purchased Geico in 1996. Go figure, the second richest person in the world made a smart long term acquisition and now the decision is paying off.
I’m sure you have seen plenty of Geico commercials because of the $500 million spent by Geico last year on advertising. That is more than Coca Cola USA spent last year on their ads. If I see a commercial multiple times I will either mute the TV or turn it off but will almost always remember the company. It seems like enough people really like Geico and the green lizard.
Have you become a Geico customer and why?

Have Geico insurance for 12 years and in 2006 they caused me to have problems. They accept my payments every mmonth. My registration was to be renewed. Geico claims a check is missing in 2005 so they notified DMV that I had no insurance for 16 days and DDMV wants me to pay for 2 cars $8.00 a day plus other charges which totals somewhere around $256.00 plus late fees to Geico. We are seniors handicap who needs our car to get to drs. My old car wwas registrated last year.I never knew I had this problem til I went to renew my other car. I never knew both reg. were frozen because of Geico. I would not use this company. They do not see Geico trying to help me solve the problem, instead they get nasty when they speak to u.
