An Insurance Blog With Zest
Hello readers.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the Know More Media family.  Writing has been a passion of mine for most of my life so to be able to write full time is truly a joy and learning experience.

I live in Southern California with my wife, am bi-lingual, English and Spanish, am a voracious reader and did I mention I love to write?  I was Life & Health insurance licensed in California for almost 7 years.  and also held the series 6, 63 & 26 securities licenses.  Put those together and I was variable licensed as well.  For a year and a half I taught the California pre-license course, 52 hours, reacquainting me with the fundamentals and basics of Life, Health, Disability and Long Term Care Insurance.  That experience showed me the power and importance of education as well as putting me in constant contact with new insurance agents.

While I do keep up to date on news and changes occurring within the insurance industry I unfortunately do not know everything that transpires.  I therefore welcome your input, knowledge and experience to help make this blog a source for new information and different opinions.  TheInsurancePolicy.com will be a source for new insurance agents, veterans, those interested in information about how to get into the insurance industry, consumers and commentary on insurance news.  I will touch on a wide variety of topics in order to reach all our readers.

I love to infuse humor into my writing.  I try not to take myself too seriously and have some fun while writing about an important topic.  I look forward to shaping this blog into a source of information you can depend on and therefore visit frequently.

Andrew, bienvenido a KMM. Espero poder aprender mucho a traves de este blog y pues, conversar bastante contigo tanto en ingles como en espanol. Sorry, can't figure out how to do the accents and tildes on this laptop.

I'm excited to be working with you, man! It'll be great! Rich and Tim and Hal and Dan have had me write about insurance before (way back in '04-'05), but I'm glad that we've finally found a REAL insurance expert to write for us. Enjoy this blog!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the nice article about my Book on Mold. Also your readers should know there is an easy blood test for mold that comes to your door.

www.biosignlabs.com
it's fast, affordable and tells you if you have mold in your body what type and at what levels. It's a big help

Michael,

Thanks so much for leaving a comment. I'm glad to spread the word about mold and how insurance companies deal with it. Your book can really educate people about the many aspects of mold and getting it covered by insurers. Best of luck to selling as many copies of the book as possible.

I was wondering if you could help me research where else to turn on a dental insurance issue. I am double covered with Dental and have been for three years now as I have needed a lot of dental work. Well this year my husbands company (who is the secondary company) has been deducting benefits from me and not actually paying them out. They claim that they have the right to deduct the amount that they "would have paid" if they were the primary insurance company but still only pay the balance of the bills. My husbands company paid for a $1000 worth of dental benifits payable in my benefit but the company has only paid out about $766.00 and deducted the full $1,000.00 from my available benefits. I do not see how this can be fair. It should not matter if they are the primary or secondary company as a $1000.00 benefit policy should always be a $1000.00 benefits. This is the first year out of three that I have not received full benefits from both insurance companies. While this is the first year that both policies are with the same company I feel like that should not matter. I feel like taking benefits from my paid policy and not paying them out is illegal. I have filed a dispute with the company but they keep saying they have a right to deduct amounts they "would have paid" from my benefits regardless if they pay them or not. Thank you for your time.
